US President-elect Joe Biden says his administration is receiving full cooperation from President Trump’s administration, after acknowledging his victory in the last presidential election.
In an interview with NBC, Mr Biden said they were getting accurate information on the country’s security situation and the nature of the cholera epidemic.
But he says he has not yet spoken to President Trump, who continues to deny that he lost the election.
The president-elect introduced some of his government officials, while declaring that “the United States is back to continue to lead the world.”
What is Mr. Biden’s message?
Speaking to NBC’s Labaran Dare program, Biden confirmed that he has not yet spoken to the president but added that he does not think there will be a delay in the transition early in his term.
“It’s going slowly but it’s just started and there are two more months to go, so I’m excited about how we can achieve that,” he said.
He said he plans to meet with the White House Covid-19 team on vaccination distribution.
He also receives daily updates on the state of international affairs – Mr Biden is now able to meet with senior government officials and manage millions of dollars as he prepares to take office on the 20th. for January.
Biden, who is a former vice president under Barack Obama, said this would not be the “third term of the Obama administration” because current world conditions are very different from those of the previous Obama administration and Biden.
