Ansumane Fati will be sidelined for four months before playing for Barcelona after undergoing surgery on Monday.
The youngster suffered the injury against Real Betis in La Liga, which Barcelona won 5-2 in Week 9 on Sunday.
On Monday, Dr. Ramon Cugat underwent a successful operation under the supervision of Barcelona doctors, and it is confirmed that he will be out for four months.
The youngster has made 10 appearances for Barca, including seven in La Liga and three in the Champions League this season.
Fati also scored five goals and provided two assists this season.
The youngster has so far played 43 games for Barcelona, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists.
He has scored 11 goals in La Liga and two in the Champions League.
The young striker has also set a new record since making his debut for Barcelona.
This season, the youngster has played four games for Spain in the Nations League, Germany, Ukraine, Switzerland and Ukraine for the second time.
Barcelona are currently eighth in La Liga with 11 points.
