Court granted bail for who created video of 'Buhari and Sadiya's marriage' for one million


A Kano Magistrate's Court has granted bail to a man arrested on suspicion of filming a wedding of President Buhari and his minister Sadiya Farouq.


A Nigerian man has been arraigned in court after being arrested in January for allegedly posting fake videos showing Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari marrying Minister Sadiya Farouq.


Kabiru Mohammed was arrested by the DSS in January and taken to court on Tuesday.


The White House said the suspect pleaded guilty to compiling a fake video.


Mohammad Kabir was arraigned before the Normansland Magistrate's Court in Kano.


The court granted bail to the accused in the sum of N1 million despite the DSS requesting the court not to grant bail to the accused until it had completed its investigation and sought advice from the Kano State Ministry of Justice. .


The court ruled in favor of Kabiru after his lawyer presented evidence that his crime could be granted bail.


Other bail conditions include bringing in two people to stand for Kabiru who are either the chairman or secretary of the lion traders association, where the accused is a rice seller, and the second is a government employee. in step 14.


The security services then located the house where the accused was staying and confirmed that he would appear before the security services.


The court was told that the video had defamed the intended audience and caused problems for their families.


The case is being re-assigned to February 5, 2021.


Since August 2019, a fake wedding video of Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and the country's Minister of Social Welfare, Sadiya Faruk, has been circulating on social media.
