Kannywood actor Ibrahim Mashunku says he has survived a robbery at the hands of kidnappers.
The actor described his ordeal with some of his friends on his Instagram account where he revealed that last week they encountered thieves on their way from Abuja to Kaduna.
Maishunku said the robbers opened fire for 30 minutes, killing 10 people and abducting 15 others.
Before announcing the incident, Maishunku cast doubt on his followers after posting a picture on Instagram showing signs of violence with the caption “Innalillahi wa’inna ilaihirraju’un.”
But in a later post he said he had no intention of saying what happened to him. “But I have to fight for the prayers of the brothers,” he said.
The hero prayed to God for his friend’s deliverance and that the robbers demanded a ransom.
The Kaduna-Abuja road is notorious for its high-risk kidnappings for ransom.
“They also abducted my friend and brother Abdullahi Abubakar Wali, president of the NYO youth association,” he said.
The officer said the incident happened around 7:16 p.m.
