Former Ghanaian President Jerry Rawlings has died.
Reuters quoted a source at the presidency as saying that Mr Rawlings had died early Thursday in the capital Accra.
He died of coronary heart disease.
Ghana’s former president has died at the age of 73.
Rawlings became Ghana’s military ruler in 1981 after the overthrow of President Hilla Limann.
He was later elected president in a civilian system.
