Saudi Arabia has condemned the alleged killing of rice farmers by Boko Haram militants in the northeastern Nigerian town of Koshebe.
In a message posted on its Twitter page, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said it was "unfortunate" that militants were carrying out attacks on civilians that they had not heard of or seen.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the government and the people of Nigeria," she said.
Bahrain has offered similar condolences to Nigeria and hopes that such attacks will be brought to an end soon.
