The Osun State Government has announced the approval of female students in the state to wear hijab in schools.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by C. K. Olaniyan, an official of the Ministry of Education at the State Ministry of Education, saying that private schools were not excluded from the new system.
She also warned that the action was related to a court ruling, so violating the law could be a court case.
The issue of hijab in schools has been a hot topic in some schools in Nigeria in recent years.
