The Nigeria Defense Forces (NDF) says its troops in Operation Fire Ball have killed several Boko Haram members.
A message posted by the force on its Twitter account on Tuesday said vehicles carrying several heavy artillery pieces and ammunition were recovered.
She did not elaborate on the timing or location of the attack, nor did the email address on the website.
The force also said that some suspected militants were arrested in Gohono town of Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
A statement from Major General John Enenche said the guns were confiscated from Abubakar Mohammed and Ansi Usman Janare after their arrest on Sunday.
