Barcelona will not be able to pay the players’ salaries in January

Barcelona’s interim president Carlos Tusquets says the club will not be able to pay its players in January.

This is due to the economic crisis that the group is facing as a result of coronary heart disease.

Last week Barcelona announced that it had reached an agreement with the players on a pay cut to bring it in line with La Liga authorities.

“We can’t pay the January salary …” Tusquets told RAC1.

“We will delay the payment of January salaries and the payment of coffee prizes to the future.”

However, Tusquets did not specify a month’s pay for the January transfer window, saying the club would continue to spend until the end of the season.

The president said they expect everything to return to normal once the players return to Camp Nou in the near future.

Barcelona have reached the second round of the Champions League group stage this year.

Camp Nou are seventh in La Liga with 14 points and two games in hand.
