Eleven corpers have contacted coronavirus at their camp at Sibre near Jalingo in Taraba State, Nigeria.
The state commissioner of health, Dr. Innocent Vakkai, confirmed this at a press conference in Jalingo.
The country’s Punch newspaper quoted the commissioner as saying that 11 confirmed cases were being treated at the isolation center.
The commissioner said they were locked up in a hotel for damaging the camp buildings that were damaged during the EndSARS protest.
“I am sure by the time the camp closes they will be safe and reunited with their families,” he said.
The commissioner called on the people of the state to stay home and stop attending gatherings for no reason, especially during the festive season.
