COVID-19 kills 11 more in Nigeria


Eleven people died in Nigeria as a result of the cholera epidemic on Friday, bringing the total to 1,212.

The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) said an additional 806 cases of coronary heart disease were reported on Friday.

Lagos State has the highest number at 287, followed by Abuja with 255.

The quake also affected 36 people in Kaduna, 29 in Akwa Ibom, 25 in Katsina and 25 in Rivers State.

Kwara State has 21 people, Bauchi has 19 people and Kano has 15.

Ondo has 14, while Plateau has 13, Yobe 12, Nasarawa 11, Ebonyi 9, Gombe 8, Abia 7, and Delta and Imo 4-4.

Also on Friday, Osun State had 3, followed by Anambra and Borno 2-2.

Cross River, Edo, Ekiti, Jigawa and Ogun states completed the day with 1 person each.

The total number of cases since the outbreak has reached 77,013, while 67,484 have been cured and 1,212 have lost their lives.
