COVID-19: Nasir El-Rufai isolate himself

Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai has for the second time been isolated from the coronavirus.

The move follows tests that revealed that one of his family members and close associates of his government contracted the virus on Friday.
In a video posted on social media by the state government, Governor El-Rufai said he did so as a precautionary measure before his trial on Sunday.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has also kept himself in check after some of his aides became infected yesterday.
“I have wrapped myself up in the fight against cholera and I hope to be tested on Sunday,” Governor El-Rufai said in a calm voice.
“People of Kaduna, I have received reports that more people have contracted coronary heart disease today [Friday] including my family and senior government officials, so I have kept myself in check.”
Governor El-Rufai began isolating himself on March 28 after announcing that he had contracted coronary heart disease.
Other major infected people in Nigeria include:
Abba Kyari – a former Chief of Staff of the Nigerian Presidency – who died of the disease
Bala Muhammad – Governor of Bauchi State
Seyi Makinde – Governor of Oyo State
Kayode Fayemi – Governor of Ekiti State
Muhammad Babandede – Chairman of the Immigration Service
