Amnesty International says the elderly are the worst victims of Boko Haram attacks as they have not been able to escape during the attacks.

The group said this was due to the fact that most of the towns under Boko Haram’s control were mostly elderly people who could not flee or those who chose to stay and continue working on their farms.
Boko Haram militants recently slaughtered 43 farmers in Zamarmari, Borno State.
