Musa Saleh Kwankwaso: The father of former Kano governor Rabiu Kwankwaso has died

Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso was the Majidadin Kano / Makaman Karaye before his death


Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, the father of former Kano State governor and prominent politician Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has passed away.

He died early Friday morning at the age of 93, according to a statement issued by Muhammad Inuwa Ali, a senior official of the former governor.

He died in Kano.

The funeral of Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso, the reigning Majidadin Kano / Makaman Karaye, will be held on Friday at around 3pm at his son’s house on Miller Road in Bompai, Kano.

However, the statement urged those who wish to attend the funeral, especially from other states, to stay at home due to possible security concerns.

The statement called on the public to pray for him instead.

He is survived by two wives and 19 children (10 daughters, 9 sons) and several grandchildren.

Among them is Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, a former governor and former senator, who is Kwankwasiyya’s leader in the opposition PDP in Nigeria.
