The executive council of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has disbanded its national, regional and state executive committees.

The National Transitional Council (NEC) under the chairmanship of Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe was dissolved by a session chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari at Aso Rock Villa on Tuesday.

Mai Mala Buni was re-appointed to continue the committee for six months.

The legislature also expelled Ntufam Hilliard Eta, a former APC vice-president for the south-south region, from the party for refusing to withdraw a lawsuit filed by the party in court seeking to declare him as the party’s leader. ground.

The meeting was attended by Ebonyi State Governor David Nweze Umahi, who defected to the APC last month from the PDP.

The Mai Mala Buni committee was formed as a result of the party’s leadership crisis.

The session focused on reviewing the report submitted to them by the chairman of the party’s interim committee on his work in coordinating the party’s movement and mediating between its members and celebrating the departure of party members. and attracting new fans.
