The World Cup qualifiers have been split in to groups



England will face Poland in Group D of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in Qatar.

Other members of the group include Hungary, Albania, Andorra and San Marino.

Wales will face Belgium, who qualified for Euro 2016, where they will play in Group F.

Northern Ireland is in the fifth group which includes Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Lithuania.

Scotland will face Denmark, Austria, Israel, the Faroe Islands and Moldova in Group Six.

The Republic of Ireland will face Portugal, Serbia, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan.

The games will run between March and November 2021, followed by the qualifiers from March 2022.

Schedule for 2022 World Cup in Qatar

Group three : Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, Bulgaria and Lithuania.

Group 5 : Belgium, Wales, the Czech Republic, Belarus and Estonia.

Group six : Denmark, Austria, Scotland, Israel, Faroe Islands and Moldova.

Group nine : England, Poland, Hungary, Albania, Andorra and San Marino.

Due to the heat in Qatar, the World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022.

This will make the competition the first to be held in May, June or July.

The 28-day tournament, in which 32 nations are expected to compete in eight venues in five host cities.

The French national football team holds the World Cup title in Russia, and the second in its history.
