An American university has denied that it has offered the Kano governor a professor and a lecturer at the university.
East Carolina University (ECU) said a letter sent to it by an employee of the governor had not been approved by university officials, according to an investigation by Premium Times.
ECU has already informed the governor of its position on the issue in a separate letter, a copy of which was obtained by the newspaper. Ganduje’s spokesman, Abba Anwar, said on Tuesday that ECU had given the governor the post of professor and commissioned him as a lecturer.
In a statement, Abba Anwar said the university announced the appointment in a letter from the university’s International Center for IT and Development on November 30.
