Officials of the EFCC, Nigeria’s Lagos State branch, have arrested 21 people on suspicion of cyber-fraud.
The EFCC said it arrested the men of an cybercrime gang during a raid early Wednesday morning after receiving some confidential information about their activities.
Following the arrests, the police confiscated 12 vehicles used by laptops and mobile phones.
The commission named Shittu Yakubu, Akinsola Afeez, Adeniyi Joseph, Opeyemi Wahab, Idris Sunday, Lawal Moshood, Jubril Yusuf, Olusegun Mohammed, Adekunle Adesanya, and Damilola Abijide.
The others are Sola Adio, Oladipo Ademola, Damilola Adewale, Akinsola Ridwan, Ogunlaye Damilare, Falaye Peters, Magnus Toni, Onanuga Ahmed, Bolarinwa Segun, Onanuga Olawale, and Ayomide Afeez.
The EFCC has said it will charge them in court as soon as it completes its investigation.
