Barcelona captain Lionel Messi has scored the first goal in La Liga, which kicks off in Week 18.
Barcelona went on to beat Granada 4-0 on Saturday, with Messi scoring twice in La Liga.
The 33-year-old Argentina international has scored 11 goals in La Liga this season and has two assists.
He is followed by Villareal’s Gerard Mreno with 10 goals, followed by Lago Alpas and Luis Suarez with nine goals and Karim Banzema with eight.
Messi has won the Pichichi award for the best player in La Liga seven times.
The Barcelona star has been scoring more than 10 goals in 15 seasons this season, the most by any player.
Barcelona are third in La Liga with 34 points, Real are second with 37 points, while Atletico are leading with 38 points from three games.
