Borno State Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has signed the 2021 budget which was approved by the Borno State House of Assembly.
However, the budget has been increased from N208 billion to N248 billion, with the aim of building a plastics industry and a state-of-the-art hotel in the state.
While signing the budget on the day at the Government House, Maiduguri, Governor Zulum directed all ministries, agencies and departments to adhere to the budget guidelines.
He also directed the members of his executive council to devote themselves to serving the people of the state by providing them with development services.
The governor said that by 2021, his government would continue to prioritize security, education, health, agriculture, water supply and reconstruction of areas destroyed by insurgents.
