The trial of Sheikh Ibrahim Elzakzaky and his wife Zeenat, the leader of the Shia Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), will continue on Wednesday in Kaduna.
Zakzaky and his wife face eight charges including murder and unlawful assembly and harassment of the public among others.
Both the Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria and his wife have denied the allegations.
Kaduna State Magistrate Gideon Kurada adjourned the case to Wednesday, March 8, after the prosecution presented 14 witnesses.
Zakzaky and his wife have been detained since December 2015 following clashes between the cleric’s followers and the Nigerian military, which led to the killing of hundreds of members of the group.
