Saudi Arabia bans Sahur and Iftar in her mosques

The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that mosques will not be open during the holy month of Ramadan this year, as is customary every year.

A statement from Haramain Sharifain on Tuesday added that the decision was taken in response to the global corona outbreak.

The statement said that the Taraweeh and Tahajjud prayers will be announced shortly during the fast.

Friday mosques will also be included in the list of those who will perform the Eid prayers, in order to reduce overcrowding.
